From April 16 to 18, 2026, the 7th Congress of the Asia Pacific Federation of Societies for Reconstructive Microsurgery (APFSRM 2026) was held in Bali, Indonesia. Jointly organized by the Asia Pacific Federation of Societies for Reconstructive Microsurgery (APFSRM) and the Indonesian Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery (InaSREM), the congress brought together leading reconstructive microsurgeons, clinical experts, researchers, and innovative medical technology companies from across the Asia-Pacific region and around the world to exchange insights on the latest clinical advances and technological developments in microsurgery.
At APFSRM 2026, KouTech showcased its independently developed Kai Microsurgical Robot, presenting the company’s latest innovations in robot-assisted microsurgery to an international audience.Featuring a compact robotic platform, precision motion control technologies, and a system architecture designed with clinical applications in mind, Kai emerged as one of the innovative technologies attracting significant attention at the congress. Numerous international experts and representatives from medical institutions visited the KouTech booth to learn more about the system and exchange perspectives with the company’s team.
Throughout the congress, microsurgeons, clinicians, and industry representatives from Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, as well as Europe, North America, and countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative visited the KouTech booth.Discussions focused on the future development of robot-assisted microsurgery, its potential value in complex surgical scenarios, and opportunities for future international collaboration. Visitors demonstrated strong interest in the Kai system and its potential applications in microsurgical procedures.
In addition to the exhibition, Kai was also featured in the congress’s academic program. Clinical experts from Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, and Ningbo No. 6 Hospital presented their experience with Kai in microsurgical procedures based on real-world clinical practice. The presentations highlighted several key aspects of the system, including operational stability, precision control capabilities, accessibility within narrow and deep surgical fields, and its technical advantages in complex microsurgical reconstruction.During the academic sessions, Kai was presented as a representative achievement in China’s independently developed microsurgical robotics and introduced under the positioning of “China’s First,” highlighting an important advancement in China’s microsurgical robotic technology. The presentations attracted considerable attention from international experts and peers.
Through its participation in APFSRM 2026, KouTech further strengthened its engagement and collaboration with microsurgery experts and medical institutions worldwide, while further enhancing the international visibility and professional recognition of the Kai Microsurgical Robot.Moving forward, KouTech will remain committed to independent technological innovation and continue to advance the research, development, clinical evaluation, and validation of microsurgical robotic technologies. By deepening collaboration with international clinical institutions and experts, KouTech aims to contribute to the advancement of precision surgery worldwide and provide more advanced, safe, and efficient robotic solutions for microsurgical procedures.
